How to Use a Seltzer Siphon

Most of us wouldn't remember the days when seltzer siphons were more commonly in use in homes. You know, those glass or metal bottles with a lever near the top that, when pulled, would spray out fresh, bubbly seltzer. It's the stuff the Marx brothers and the Three Stooges used to make hay in their skits. That was for then, but not for now, right? We grew up purchasing all of our carbonated water from the grocery, and seltzer siphons would now strike us as rather antiquated things.

Of course, home-made seltzer is making a comeback thanks to products offered on our site. The more modern versions offered on our home page are the most popular appliances for fizzing up water at home, and with reason. They are easy to use, they look great in the kitchen and they are extraordinarily cost-effective.

However, there still exists the possibility of "reliving the good old days" and using seltzer siphons to do the same at home. Here at SeltzerMaker.com, we haven't forgotten, and so continue to offer to our customers seltzer siphon products for making fizzy water at home. These are artfully designed bottles that allow you to make seltzer the old-fashioned way - one bottle at a time using single-use seltzer chargers.

Now, this may look a little fancy, but no need to fear. Carbonating water this way is also pretty easy. PLUS, serving in these bottles puts a little style in what can be an otherwise mundane task. Just pull down the lever, and the bubbly water joyously squirts out into your glass. In formal settings, it's the perfect way to serve this party staple. To show you how straightforward it is, here's a little video that demonstrates what's involved. Have a look.
